Characters

Basic characters should be built on 100 points, though 125 points would make for a more heroic game. There are few restrictions on advantages and disadvantages. Notably there is no magic and there are no psionics. The City in the Sea does not have a standing military or a police force. Thus there is no need for either legal enforcement powers or military rank. Literacy may be purchased as semi-literate (+05) or full at (+10). Illiteracy as a disadvantage is not worth any points.

Common skills include: Agronomy, Animal Handling, Area Knowledge (The City in the Sea), Armoury (Rifles and Handguns), Blacksmith, Boating, Brawling, Carpentry, Climbing, Cooking, Fishing, Guns (Pistol), Guns (Rifle), Knife, Naturalist, Packing, Riding (Horse), Spear, Stealth, Survival (Plains), Swimming, Tracking, Weather Sense.

This new Code of Honour is usually only taken by Old Blood Mechanics, and has come about because of their contacts with the Grith.
