The World of 'Xenozoic Tales' is a mixture of TL6 and early TL7. Certainly technology beyond the 50's is very rare. Examples exist, but access to these is strictly controlled by the Old Blood Mechanics and kept locked in the city's vaults. Only the scientists and 'Moles' who reside in the vaults and led by Wilhelmina Scharnhorst have free access.

Most people only have access to early TL6.

Notable exceptions to the rule include guns. Rifles and revolvers are common, as well as semi-automatic pistols. There are no automatic weapons except in the vaults, which of course the players have no access to.

Nor is there any oil based technology. Jack Tenrec has to date prevented any drilling for oil. All the cars and trucks (which are without exception, all 1950s models), as well as the few motor boats have been adapted to run on slither (dinosaur) guano, which is actually more efficient and you get used to the smell.
