THE SKYREALMS OF JORUNE
ROLE - PLAYING GAME

To date there have been three fanzines devoted to Jorune. One is American and the other two are British. I am lucky enough to have been involved in both of the British publications.

Full details of how to acquire issues of the two magazines that are still in print are included with descriptions of the contents.

This fanzine was the first to see publication back around 1988. Edited by Alex Blair, it featured articles from Geoff Gray (Gray also wrote some of the material included in the White Wolf magazine Segment: Jorune columns.) There were two issues.

Besides Alex working on it, I also helped with the editing as well as Clive Emerson. Long out of print, I am currently attempting to persuade Alex to send me copies so that I place some of the material on these web pages.

THE SHOLARI is published by Talewind, which is run by Joseph Steven Coleman, who happened to write the resource material for The Sholari's Companion, The Sobayid Atlas and The Gire of Sillipus. The first issue contained a new land, new weapons, new occupations, a new shanthic cult, a peek at thriddle military training, and a column from the game's creator, Andrew Leker.

The second issue carried two scenarios - one involving the thriddle and lamorri relics, new art for Jorunis and the other involving an art theft in Jasp (and the prequel to Voyages of the Aylon Star). This issue also had a guide to the village of Gralis in South Khodre, Jorune names, a new shenter in Ardoth (The Crystal Tarro), the second part of the creator's column, and the dyshas of a new moon, Gufi.

The third issue featured a scenario, details of Ramian culture and introduced the fabulous contributions of the English PBM Jorune game - Team: Heridoth. Additional material includes a Danstead guide to the Heridothian city of York, new occupations, new shanthic structures and the terrible crimes of Jack Ho Tri, the thriddle highwayki.

Information about Sholari is available through The Sholari.

Currently there is no UK distributor.

Borkelby's Folly is the latest addition to the short list of Jorune fanzines. This is published by Ray Gillham who currently lives in Wales. Unfortunately for him, the television is bad (so he doesn't get decent shows like 'Homicide: Life on the Street' and gets 'Babylon 5' weeks later than the rest of the UK), but the beer, cats and his S.O. are all good . . .

There have been two issues to date. A third is awaiting funds so that it can be printed. BF is very cheap and I highly reccomend it. If you found out about BF here, let him know . . . Here is how to get hold of it:
