Ahdis (Orator)

Cost: 8

Min Social: 14
Min Education: 10

Extra Characteristic points: +2

Skills:

Choose 1, D6 = 6 grants another.

The Ahdis is a familiar sight on the street corners and the incleps of Ardoth and other cities across Jorune. Wherever they speak, the Yords are always there to keep an eye upon them. Although they are guaranteed the right to freedom of speech, the Yords will swiftly step in if the speech might be considered an incitement to riot. Many an Ahdis has spent a few days in Herris for one or two rash words. An Ahdis usually supports himself from audience donations or by a patron. These are often politicians and it is politics that most Ahdis aim to enter.

Paulos Ghali

CON: 13 STR: 10 SPD: 11
SOC: 16 EDU: 16 AIM: 14
COL: 07 LRN: 16 SPT: 06
ISHO: 13 AGL: 13 LST: 11

Looking out over the small crowd, Paulos could sense their agreement with his impassioned speech. It was not even as if he agreed with what he said, but it was what his patron, a member of the city Kimmit wanted them to hear. In return for his frequent speeches, he received a small, but liveable wage and at the same time, built up his contacts. They would be useful later in life when he became a politician. First though, he had to become a Drenn.

Caji Iscin

The Caji Iscin program is the newest of training programs available in Ardoth. It is run through a new Klade and to an outsider appears to be just Caji training. In reality, Klade Krobo (named after its head, Janet Krobo) is funded through the Office of the Daijic.

It was implemented to diffuse the Caji and Muadra rights movement by training Caji who support the Dharsage. A hoped for off-shoot of the program is that the Dharsage might learn more about Isho. The training concentrates heavily on classical knowledge weighed in favour of Burdothian history and culture. A secret part of the training involves swearing an oath of allegiance to the Dharasage and the promise that course graduates will go on to work towards Drenn status.

The first class of ten will graduate in 3496. Though a secret from most of the public, the Thriddle are aware of the program. In a report to Tan Iricid, Kirra Ho Trid wrote, "I am aware that the concept of 'control through knowledge' is one that I instilled in Khodre Dhardrenn during his education. The effects of this program will not be seen from some years yet, though I hope it is one that will bear fruit and work to heal the rift between the pure strain humans and the muadra."

Luc McQuitty

CON: 07 STR: 12 SPD: 12
SOC: 14 EDU: 14 AIM: 11
COL: 13 LRN: 10 SPT: 11
ISHO: 13 AGL: 11 LST: 14

Luc looked around at his fellow students. Like him they would be graduating in a few weeks. All of them fellow muadra like he was and all of them planning to become tauther upon graduation.

He had tried to learn from the caji in the city, but found their constant griping about the lack of civil rights for the Muadra pointless. The Klade Krobo gave him the training he wanted and the chance to change things from within the system.

Clerbil (Entertainer)

Cost: 7

Min Social: 13

Extra Skill Points: +2

Skills:

Choose 2 at Experienced and 3 at Familiar

Choose 1, D6 = 6 grants another.

There is always a call for good entertainment wherever people are found and the life of most entertainers is one of constant travel. The most successful can play to large audiences and even perform before the Dharsage himself. Although rare, it is not unknown for an entertainer to become a Drenn. Many of the more notable examples in the last few hundred years have come from Heridoth - though the majority were of noble birth.

Orlana Smith

CON: 16 STR: 10 SPD: 09
SOC: 17 EDU: 09 AIM: 05
COL: 12 LRN: 11 SPT: 09
ISHO: 14 AGL: 18 LST: 17

Though she was part of the troupe, an actress, juggler and musician, Orlana wanted to go solo, maybe even form her own band of players. It would make everything that much more easier if she became a Drenn. There were not many aspiring actors who had done this, but Orlana wanted to be amongst them.

Hishtin

Cost: 9

Min Colour: 12
Min Isho: 15
Min Education: 12

Extra Skill Points: +2

Skills:

Choose 1, D6 = 6 grants another:

Hishtin are boccord who work in the kerning bays teaching young muadra how to deal with the pressures of handling isho. From basic kerning through forming a naull and the basics of caji etiquette, to the actual creation and throwing of dyshas, the average muadra learns the basics of all they need to know from hishtin. Beyond this, muadra must pay to improve their abilities and thisis how the hishtin earn their keep.

Dorethea Molo

CON: 15 STR: 13 SPD: 15
SOC: 08 EDU: 14 AIM: 17
COL: 16 LRN: 14 SPT: 14
ISHO: 17 AGL: 09 LST: 11

Running your own kerning bay was impossible without becoming a Drenn. That was what Dorethea hoped for: Drennship and to be able to run her own bay. This would give her a chance to remove the insidious dyte and criminal elements so prevalent in many of the city's bays.

Miner

Cost: 6

Min Strength: 14
Min Constitution: 12

Extra Characteristic Points: +2
Extra Skill Points: +2

Skills:

Choose 1, D6 = 6 grants another:

Miners have the reputation as hard workers, hard players and hard drinkers. They also have one of the most unforgiving jobs on Jorune and amongst the highest mortality rates. Miners often go on to become prospectors in their own right. They see prospecting as an escape from the backbreaking labour of mining and a chance to work for themselves.

The unpopularity of mining has often forced some owners to employ slave labour or indentured workers. Criminals commonly serve sentences in mines and apart from assignment as a 'slash', soldiers view being posted to a mine as the worst duty of all.

Drev'n Lanois

CON: 17 STR: 15 SPD: 12
SOC:11 EDU: 10 AIM: 13
COL: 14 LRN: 13 SPT: 10
ISHO: 09 AGL: 13 LST:15

Drev'n looked out accross the lake. On the other side lay the road that led North to Auklin. She had been walking for many days since leaving Kesler and five years of indentured servitude at the mine. At least it had cleared her family debts and she would see them when she got to Glounda. Though it had been hard, she had held her own and drink any man - and some boccord, under the table. As for the future she wanted to own her own mine and that meant becomming a Drenn.

Prospector

Cost: 11

Extra Characteristic Points: +1
Extra Skill Points: +1

Min Strength: 12
Min Constitution: 12
Min Spot: 11
Skills:

Choose 1 of the following, D6 = 6 for another:

The Prospector's life is perhaps one of the loneliest on Jorune. They can be found anywhere where there might be something valuable that can be extracted from the ground. Working sometimes in small groups, but usually alone, they scour Jorune for crystals, ores and metals.

Because they travel to out of the way places, both Burdoth and the Thriddle see prospectors as useful sources of information and many sell what they learn to supplement their often hand-to-mouth existence. It is rumoured that a prospector discovered one of the recently opened Earth-tec caches and that the Dharsage pays out big for information that leads to the location of an intact cache.

Leonard Drask

CON:14 STR: 15 SPD: 16
SOC:12 EDU: 12 AIM: 12
COL: 14 LRN: 14 SPT: 17
ISHO:14 AGL:14 LST: 15

Returning to civilisation was two edged sword. Sometimes Leonard had good news and sometimes not. The life of the prospector did not gaurantee success, but this time he had hit lucky. He might just have found the location of a cache. Even if proved to be false, the information can still be sold. Querrids always pay well for such information and everyone loves a treasure map.
